Primary Purpose

Responsible for training, modeling, and assisting teachers in integrating technology in the classroom to improve student achievement. Supports management of instructional device maintenance and deployment. Acquires and updates skills as necessary for effective instructional technology management. Trains users in applications and the integration of technology into lesson planning. Coordinates activities of outside vendors, consultants, and trainers. Provides support and efficient data to campus-level personnel. Ensures efficient and effective access to information and related technology to all campus and administrative departments.

Qualifications: Education/Certification
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Valid Teaching Certificate
  • Master's Degree in Instructional Technology preferred
Special Knowledge/Skills
  • Knowledge of instructional and assessment applications and the K‑12 educational environment is preferred
  • Proficiency with Learning Management Systems, PC systems, desktop applications, Google applications, and Apple systems
  • Ability to conduct instruction and/or attend meetings and professional development, and to make and receive phone calls in a virtual or remote workplace environment
Experience
  • 4+ years of experience supporting instructional software applications or working with instructional software in an educational environment (preferred)
  • 4+ years of experience working with and demonstrating the use of instructional and assessment technology
Major Responsibilities and Duties
  • Provides teachers with technology tools and training to achieve instructional expectations
  • Establishes an environment encouraging creative and independent use of digital learning programs
  • Coordinates and/or provides training to school staff in network and software use
  • Coordinates activities of outside vendors, consultants, and trainers
  • Encourages student development of skills in the use of digital learning resources
  • Models effective use of technology in the classroom and campuses for teachers and students
  • Facilitates the use of existing and emerging digital learning technologies by staff and students
  • Works cooperatively with campus administration, school staff, the school improvement teams, and the instructional technology office
  • Incorporates district digital learning initiatives into school technology planning and ensures technology is integral to the school improvement plan and instructional program
  • Coordinates the use of technology with all district personnel
  • Interprets digital learning programs for staff, parents, and community members
  • Develops training modules for instructional technology products and provides ongoing training/support
  • Implements federal, state, and local IT policies and regulations
  • Compiles, maintains, and files all required reports, records, and documents
  • Attends professional growth activities to stay current with technology innovations
  • Performs any and all duties as assigned
  • Successfully advances district initiatives

Salary minimum: $62,918 per 197 days (based on 2025‑26 salary)
