Job summary

CBS North Carolina is seeking an experienced Digital Executive Producer to lead our multi‑platform news operation across air, online and mobile. You will drive a digital‑first strategy, oversee enterprise, investigative and breaking coverage, and work with managers to recruit audiences on all platforms.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in newsroom leadership, strong writing skills, and a deep understanding of how news spreads on social media. Some weekends/holidays required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in multi-platform newsroom management.

• Experience hiring, training, and guiding newsroom personnel.
• Strong understanding of maximizing digital platforms.

CBS North Carolina is looking for an exceptional Digital Executive Producer to drive our multiple platform news operation. This candidate must execute systems that support the station mission of providing outstanding content on air, online, and mobile platforms. The ideal candidate is an experienced newsroom leader with a proven track record of success integrating a digital‑first approach throughout a news organization. Must have excellent writing skills, ability to handle extended breaking news and severe weather coverage, and ability to work with team managers to plan and execute enterprise, investigative, and special story coverage to recruit customers on all platforms. Urgency and accuracy are top priorities. The candidate must have a passion for social media and a deep understanding of how news is consumed on evolving platforms. CBS North Carolina is looking for a leader and team player who works collaboratively. The CBS North Carolina website is growing rapidly, and this position will join a motivated web team and a station with a strong commitment to its digital operations. Candidates must be flexible with regard to their schedule; some weekends and holiday shifts will be required.

Experience

Minimum of 5 years in multi‑platform newsroom management. Extensive experience handling breaking news, specials, and investigative content in a multi‑platform environment. Experience hiring, training, and guiding newsroom personnel. Strong understanding of how to maximize digital platforms.
