Job description

Mencap has a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Digital Engagement Officer to join the Mencap Trust Company (MTC). This is a full-time, fixed-term contract for two years. The role is primarily home-based, with an expectation to attend the London office at least once a month for team meetings and collaboration.

Mencap Trust Company (MTC) is a not-for-profit trust company dedicated to protecting the financial future of people with a learning disability and autistic people. This exciting new role will play a key part in raising awareness of Mencap Trust Company's services, helping both families and professionals in the legal and financial services access vital information, advice and support through engaging and accessible digital content.

This is a full-time role, with four days per week dedicated to Mencap Trust Company and one day per week supporting the Royal Mencap Society's Network Partners team. The role reports directly to Mencap Trust Company’s Senior Marketing Manager.

This is an exciting opportunity to help grow the digital presence of a specialist organisation that makes a real difference to the lives of people with a learning disability and their families.

The role holder will:

  • Create, coordinate and publish engaging digital content for MTC’s website, email and social media channels (Linkedin), including case studies, news stories, blogs, campaigns and resources.
  • Manage day-to-day website and content management system updates, working with MTC’s website agency to coordinate requests, test improvements and ensure information is accurate, accessible and easy to find.
  • Support digital marketing activity using Salesforce and Marketing Cloud, including supporting implementation, developing email templates and journeys, and ensuring consistent branding and accessible communications.
  • Co -ordinate the production of visual and printed content, liaising with photographers, videographers, designers and printers, and maintain an accessible image library in line with MTC’s brand and values.
  • Improve digital signposting and referrals to MTC and Mencap’s Planning for the Future information and support services.
  • Coordinate requests for information and speakers, and plan and support webinars, events and partnership engagement activity, working with MTC colleagues and external partners to raise awareness of wills and trusts activities across the Mencap Group.
  • Monitor digital channel engagement, produce monthly and quarterly reports, and carry out regular content reviews, using insights to improve accuracy, user experience, accessibility and SEO.
  • Provide one day per week of digital engagement support to the Mencap Network Partners team, supporting its digital channels, website content and engagement activity through agreed matrix management arrangements.

First interviews will be held week commencing 16th November with second stage shortly after.
