Location: United States Air Force School of Aerospace Medicine

  • Citizenship: U.S. Citizenship Required. DoD Clearance Required.
  • Clearance Requirements: Tier 1 Background Investigation, National Agency Check with Law and Credit Check, fingerprints (Standard Form 85).
  • Estimated Pay: $58,400 - $62,700 per year (Negotiable)
  • Type of Employment: 40 hours per week.
  • Period of Performance: 01 August 2025 – 31 January 2027 (Option to extend)
  • Employee Paid Group Benefits: Health/Dental/Vision.
  • Paid Time Off: Up to 80 hours per year, starting from day one.
  • Sick Leave: Up to 56 hours per year, starting from day one.
  • Paid Federal Holidays: Eleven (11) days.
  • Travel: Travel is unauthorized.
  • Relationship: Employee of our company and/or 1099 Independent Contractor.
Working Hours

Work is scheduled from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Flexibility may be required for after-hours or weekend work to support specific tasks, but will not exceed 40 hours per week. Temporary alternate work locations may be assigned.

Mandatory Qualifications
  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Digital Media, Visual Communications, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in digital design.
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, Audition, Photoshop, After Effects, Illustrator, Captivate), Microsoft Word, Excel, SharePoint, and PowerPoint. Ability to manage projects independently and collaboratively, and solve problems efficiently.
  • Basic knowledge of video editing or motion graphics for animated signage or marketing content.
  • Ability to prepare assets for web and print, understanding resolution, file formats, and accessibility standards.
  • Non-Disclosure Agreement must be in place with the contractor's company, and documentation provided to the Program Manager to protect confidential and proprietary information.
Highly Desired Qualifications
  • Familiarity with DoD branding and communication policies (e.g., Tongue and Quill).
  • Experience in a military setting, understanding rank structure, policies, and procedures.
  • Experience designing for digital signage, understanding screen ratios, motion graphics, and content duration optimization.
  • Knowledge of layout principles, color theory, typography, and visual hierarchy.
  • Familiarity with web-based design tools.
Duties/Responsibilities
  • Assist in inventory management and maintenance of audio-visual and computer equipment as directed.
  • Manage procurement, storage, coding, and disposal of equipment, maintaining accurate records.
  • Provide digital design consultation to USAFSAM members and programs.
  • Collaborate with subject-matter experts and instructional designers to create graphics and multimedia content for courseware and marketing.
  • Create digital assets for marketing, instructional, and promotional purposes, including signage, emails, websites, and presentations.
  • Coordinate with copywriters, photographers, and videographers to ensure visual and messaging alignment.
  • Optimize layouts for clarity and effectiveness across multiple formats (web, mobile, print, signage).
  • Support additional projects such as documentation, symposiums, capability definitions, and partnerships.
