Job Overview:

We are seeking a talented and experienced Designer to join our internal marketing team at PartsBase. Working closely under the direction of the Art Director, this individual will play a key role in supporting a variety of design needs, ranging from branding and digital assets (web design, email campaigns, social media graphics) to print collateral (business cards, one-pagers, trade show signage). The ideal candidate will possess strong design skills, proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, and a solid understanding of design tools like Figma and Microsoft Office. Experience with motion graphics is a plus.

This role requires strong collaboration with the Art Director, cross-functional teams, and stakeholders, the ability to present design proofs and mockups confidently, and a keen ability to take direction and feedback. The ideal candidate must also be adept at juggling a large volume of projects in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Branding & Identity: Develop and maintain visual brand standards, ensuring consistency across all design deliverables under the direction of the Art Director.
  • Digital Design: Design web pages, email templates/graphics, social media graphics, banner ads, and other digital assets to support marketing campaigns and initiatives.
  • Print Design: Create and produce print materials, including business cards, brochures, one-pagers, and trade show signage. Must be able to ensure design files are properly set up for print production, including color knowledge/management, resolution, and formatting.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the Art Director, cross-functional teams, and stakeholders to translate concepts and ideas into visually engaging designs.
  • Presentation & Feedback: Present design proofs and mockups effectively, incorporating feedback from the Art Director and other stakeholders to refine designs.
  • Content Creation: Assist in the creation of visual content for internal and external communications.
  • Project Management: Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business objectives.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure high-quality design standards are met and that all deliverables are polished, professional, and error-free.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience (5+ years) as a designer, preferably in an internal marketing/creative team or agency environment.
  • Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Acrobat).
  • Proficiency in Figma with a strong grasp of its collaborative and prototyping features.
  • Strong understanding of design principles, typography, and color theory.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with the Art Director and stakeholders and take constructive feedback.
  • Comfort in presenting design work to teams and leadership.
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment while maintaining creativity and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
  • Ability to work with existing templates and develop designs starting from the conceptual phase.
  • Experience with print and digital design.
  • Experience with responsive web design and knowledge of web design best practices.

Preferred Skills & Added Perks:

  • Experience with motion graphics (After Effects or similar tools).
  • Experience in creating PowerPoint and Word Templates, deck polishes, and other internal communication needs
  • Experience with responsive web design and UX principles.
  • Knowledge of HTML/CSS and UI/UX
  • Experience with iconography, illustrations, and data visualization.
  • Experience with Unbounce or other landing page design platforms.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in graphic design, with a focus on both digital and print design (in a professional capacity).
  • Must provide an online portfolio showcasing a diverse range of projects across print and digital design media.
