Job summary

BioHorizons Implant Systems in Hoover, AL is seeking a Digital Laboratory Technician to design dental prostheses and manage CAD/CAM workflows for Vulcan Custom Dental and clinical customers. You will process daily orders to customer specifications and participate in validation activities for new software and processes.

The role involves providing CAD support, coordinating with customers, and training users on software tools while ensuring adherence to quality standards and turnaround times.

Qualifications

• High school Diploma required.
• Dental Lab/medical device experience preferred.
• Knowledge of 3Shape, Exocad, and Dental Wings (DWOS) software usage preferred.
• Experience designing crowns, copings, bridges, models and abutments in 3Shape, Exocad, Dental Wings or equivalent software preferred.
• Comfortable in a production environment where quotas are mandated.

Responsibilities

• Scan cases for CAD design work.
• Perform CAD design of dental prostheses per customer specifications.
• Complete all work in accordance with the Vulcan Quality Manual.
• Ensure established turnaround times for product are achieved.
• Provide customer support as it relates to CAD/CAM prosthetics and surgical guides.
• Coordinate cases with customers as they are received through Customer Care, processed through various software, and distributed physically throughout Vulcan.
• Provide support and training to Vulcan customers, partner companies, and online.
• Participate in CAD production-related qualifications including Installation, Operation, and Process Validation.
• Work with outside suppliers as needed.
• Investigate and address customer complaints.
