HDR's Building Engineering Services Group in the greater Denver area is seeking a Digital Delivery Team Lead to guide project digital delivery, model management, and team performance.

You will coordinate with project managers, market sector leaders, and HDR Digital practice, driving technical excellence, staff development, and adherence to delivery standards across diverse facilities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of 7 years experience.
  • Professional registration, license or certification may be required based on role.
  • Strong communication and listening skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments.
  • Good leadership and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Manage project digital delivery staff (model managers) and supervise the team.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers for staffing and proposals.
  • Provide leadership with focus on technical excellence, quality, and staff development.
  • Coordinate with market sector leadership for excellence across markets.
  • Lead as project model manager on key projects.
  • Execute all project model management requirements.
  • Develop and maintain the Digital Delivery Plan (DDP).
  • Maintain model setup and project information for disciplines.
  • Communicate deliverables and exchange process at milestones.
  • Implement and support digital delivery standards.

Come join the fast-growing Building Engineering Services Group at HDR. The Building Engineering Services Group (BES) provides industry leading mechanical, electrical, control system, plumbing, site civil, structural, and specialty design services for a wide variety of buildings that include public, municipal, private, and government project types. Projects are a balance of local as well as across the region and the globe. With a team of experienced staff in specific market areas such as Healthcare, Datacenters, Science and Technology, Commercial Real Estate, Finance, Hospitality, Industrial, Municipal, Manufacturing, Transportation, and Federal facilities; we provide engineering excellence for our clients.

We are searching for a Digital Delivery Team Lead in the greater Denver, Colorado area.

In the role of Digital Delivery Team Lead, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Assist with the management and culture of the overall project model management team by being the direct supervisor of a team of project digital delivery staff (model managers) with varying degrees of experience
  • Work collaboratively with Project Managers for work staffing and project proposals
  • Provide team leadership with a focus on technical excellence, quality, recruiting, mentoring, and staff development
  • Collaborate closely with market sector leadership to ensure technical excellence in all key markets including commercial, civic, industrial, federal, water, transportation, healthcare, education and laboratories and mission critical facilities
  • Function as project model manager lead for key projects
  • Execute all project model management requirements identified on a project
  • Oversee and contribute to the development and maintenance of the Digital Delivery Plan (DDP)
  • Generate and maintain model setup including project information, coordinates, scales, orientations, scope boundaries, match-lines, views, sheets, and general models, to accommodate the disciplines and project requirements
  • Communicate, coordinate, and compile all project digital deliverables and exchange process at predetermined milestones
  • Implement, monitor, and support company policy and digital delivery standards
  • Work collaboratively with other team leads, project managers, business class digital design leads, and technical directors
  • Actively encourage and participate in work-sharing and digital practice development with the HDR Digital Business Class
  • Engage with Area business group and Regional digital leadership and market sectors to advance HDR’s Digital practice in emerging technologies, including internal and external services such as LiDAR field services, point cloud and model resolution/development, virtual reality/augmented-reality, and similar services.
  • Perform other duties as needed
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experienced in development and management of diverse teams
  • Advanced skillset of 3D design software and document management infrastructure
  • Advanced skillset of 3D Coordination tools
  • Familiar with 3D design software add-ins and supporting applications
  • Superior client service, communication, and presentation skills are essential
  • Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills to effectively serve as a first line of technical support
  • Committed to quality, improvement, and HDR
  • Excellent leadership and organization skills
  • Intrinsic interest in advancing HDR’s Digital Delivery capabilities in emerging technologies.
  • Preference given to local candidates.
