Job summary

Meijer is seeking a Digital Clerk to fulfill customer curbside online orders quickly and accurately, providing a smooth pickup experience from start to finish. You’ll greet customers, verify items, bag orders, and handle payments at the curbside area while maintaining a friendly, helpful demeanor and collaborating with the store team to resolve issues.

Qualifications

• You don’t need to know everything on day one; training will cover the pickup process and tech tools.
• Excellent communication and a customer-first approach are essential.
• Ability to learn new technologies quickly and adapt to store systems.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience; prior retail experience preferred.
• Past cashier experience is preferred.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and dependable; process-driven to follow procedures.
• Past online ordering experience is a plus.
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Provide remarkable service at the curbside pickup area with accurate order fulfillment and payment collection.
• Greet each customer with a courteous, friendly attitude in person and on the phone.
• Maintain positive working relationships with customers, team members, and leadership.
• Resolve customer concerns quickly by partnering with leadership when needed.
• Process daily workflow, fulfill orders, and manage items throughout the shift.
• Scan/verify products, bag items correctly, and follow bagging standards.
• Store and stage orders while following food safety guidelines.
• Keep the curbside area clean and ready for the next pickup.
• Support other tasks to keep store operations running smoothly.
