Digital Content Specialist

Glimpse of the Job:

As Digital Content Coordinator, you will develop and execute cohesive marketing strategies across the Texas Real Estate Research Center’s social media platforms, website, and Mailchimp campaigns. Your role will involve managing content creation, scheduling, analytics, and performance improvements to drive audience engagement. You will track and analyze campaign results, recommend data-driven enhancements, conduct keyword research, and ensure consistent branding across all digital channels.

Responsibilities will include overseeing social media campaigns (including paid campaigns), optimizing website content and layout, and producing newsletters and subscriber emails.

Proficiency in digital tools like Mailchimp, Google Analytics, and Canva is essential for success in this dynamic, results-driven role.

About the Center:

The Texas Real Estate Research Center was founded in 1971 by an act of the Texas Legislature. The Center’s enabling legislation defines a broad mandate to “conduct studies in all areas related directly or indirectly to real estate and/or urban or rural economics.” In addition to research programs in residential, commercial, and rural land economics, the Center maintains administrative, data, and communications teams to support its research agenda. Qualifications

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Proficient in social media management platforms such as Buffer, Sprout Social, Hootsuite, or MailChimp.

  • Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing.

  • Ability to positively and professionally interact with clients and staff.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.

  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.

  • Ability to present information clearly and concisely.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Two years of experience in Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, and X social media platforms.

  • Proficient in Canva, Google Analytics, WordPress, Microsoft 365, Adobe Acrobat, AI/ChatGPT.

Responsibilities

  • Marketing Strategies- Assist in developing cohesive marketing strategies for social media channels, website, and Mailchimp campaigns. Track success of social media campaigns through channel analytics and recommend strategies based on results. Track success of web content through Google analytics and recommend strategies based on results. Track success of MailChimp campaigns through MailChimp analytics and recommend strategies based on results. Document marketing strategies and results.

  • Social Media Campaigns- Guide social media content creation and scheduling. Keep up with current social media trends. Manage paid social campaigns. Audit social media.

  • Website Content-Recommend placement of content across TRERC website. Suggest enhancements to online content appearance. Identify appropriate related content for online articles, reports, and blog posts. Conduct keyword research. Identify new content types. Integrate web and print content.

  • Mailchimp Campaigns- Create MailChimp campaigns including weekly RECON newsletter, monthly Total RECall newsletter, subscriber notification emails for blog and reports.

  • Branding- Ensure consistent branding across social media platforms, website, and Mailchimp campaigns.
