Job summary

KBAK/KBFX is seeking a Digital Content Producer in Bakersfield, CA to create and edit digital news for web, social, and live platforms. The role requires strong writing and editing, AP Style knowledge, and the ability to drive engagement through multimedia storytelling.

The ideal candidate will analyze analytics to guide story selection, collaborate with newsroom teams, and deliver timely local content. This is a full-time position with Sinclair benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.

• Ability to create engaging digital and social media content.
• Basic photo editing skills; video production experience a plus.

• Enhance stories with multimedia, related content, and audience-focused storytelling.
• Create digital first and social media content that drives engagement and traffic.
• Ensure website content remains accurate, current, and engaging.
• Explore innovative storytelling tools and formats.
• Uphold KBAK/KBFX’s editorial and journalistic standards across all platforms.

KBAK/KBFX seeks a Digital Content Producer to join our team. We are looking for a candidate who is excited about producing news stories on multiple platforms. A successful candidate knows how to use analytics to guide story choices and understands the needs of different platforms. But first, you must know and love NEWS!

The base hourly compensation range for this role is $17.50 to $19.50 per hour. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidates’ relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location. Full-time positions are eligible for benefits that include participation in a retirement plan, life and disability insurance, health, dental and vision plans, flexible spending accounts, sick leave, vacation time, personal time, parental leave and employee stock purchase plan.
