Job summary

Huron Consulting Group Inc. is seeking an Associate to join our Chicago-area team. You will analyze requirements, write functional specifications, and help implement leading enterprise software and analytics solutions for clients.

You will manage work streams, deliverables, and client interactions while mentoring junior staff. The role emphasizes strong analytical abilities, effective communication, and willingness to travel up to 50% to support client projects across industries.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a field related to this position or equivalent work experience.
  • 2-4 years of experience in analyzing requirements, writing functional specifications, conducting tests, troubleshooting issues and interfacing with business users.
  • 2+ years' experience with Hyperion Financial Management (HFM), FCCS, and/or FDMEE.
  • Understanding of the financial close cycle and related best practices.
  • Experience with foreign currency translation and effect on financial statements.
  • Experience creating consolidated financial statements for public and private companies.
  • Financial management reporting and analysis experience, preferably with Financial Reporting Studio.
  • Experience with account reconciliation tools (ARM/ARCS) or similar applications such as Blackline.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a field related to this position or equivalent work experience
  • 2-4 years of experience in analyzing requirements, writing functional specifications, conducting tests, troubleshooting issues and interfacing with business users
  • 2+ years' experience with Hyperion Financial Management (HFM), Financial Consolidation and Close Cloud (FCCS), and/or Financial Data Quality Management (FDMEE)
  • Understanding of the financial close cycle and related best practices
  • Understanding of joint ventures, direct and indirect ownership structures, and equity pickup
  • Experience with foreign currency translation and the effect of currency translation on the financial statements
  • Experience creating consolidated financial statements for public and private companies
  • Financial management reporting and analysis experience, preferably with Financial Reporting Studio
  • Experience with account reconciliation a plus, preferably with Account Reconciliation Manager (ARM), Account Reconciliation Cloud Service (ARCS), or similar applications such as Blackline
  • Strong analytical skills used to translate information from meetings into documentation that can be shared with meeting participants and project teams
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to own project workstreams through self-discipline for planning and organising tasks with little to no supervision
  • A desire and willingness to learn new tools, techniques, concepts, and methodologies
  • Strong attention to detail, with a quality-focused mindset
  • Aptitude for, and enjoyment of working in teams
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% as needed to work with client or other internal project teams

The estimated base salary range for this job is $105,000-$130,000.

The range represents a good faith estimate of the range that Huron reasonably expects to pay for this job at the time of the job posting. The actual salary paid to an individual will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to specific skills or certifications, years of experience, market changes, and required travel.

This job is also eligible to participate in Huron’s annual incentive compensation program, which reflects Huron’s pay for performance philosophy. Inclusive of annual incentive compensation opportunity, the total estimated compensation range for this job is $117,600-$153,400.
