Job summary

The Clarke County School District seeks a Digital Communications Specialist to shape the district narrative across digital channels, manage social media, and oversee website content for internal and external audiences.

The role covers photography/videography, print collateral, event planning, and promotional strategies. The candidate will support school-level digital needs and collaborate with Communications staff to elevate brand awareness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in graphic design, communications, and website design.
• Print and graphic design experience preferred.
• Photography and/or videography experience preferred or required.

Responsibilities

• Writes compelling articles for online and print.
• Shoots and edits photos/videos of school events.
• Plans media events, employee recognition, marketing, and brand awareness activities.
• Maintains district website with up-to-date information.
• Supports school-level digital communication needs.
• Provides trainings on digital communications and social media best practices.
• Collaborates to create and distribute engaging web and social media content.
• Monitors metrics of district social media pages.
• Manages production studio for podcasts, radio spots, and video broadcasts.
• Provides guidance and oversight for student interns.
• Designs layouts for promotional materials, invitations, annual reports, and district documents.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
