Job summary

The Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission (M-NCPPC) is seeking an Intern 2 in the Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) for Montgomery and Prince George’s Counties. The position is 15 hours per week at $22.00 to $22.50 per hour, offering real-world experience in government digital communications.

The intern will assist with writing copy, SharePoint site management, surveys, graphics coordination, newsletters, and video production, while learning digital communications

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree completed or in progress toward a related Master’s program.
• Strong written English and professional writing style.
• Ability to translate complex ideas into clear copy for diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Assist with implementing communication plans for technology projects.
• Write copy for emails, graphics, and instructional materials.
• Develop SharePoint sites, surveys, and data reports.
• Coordinate graphics with designers and plan newsletters.
• Record, edit, and post instructional videos; prepare slide decks for meetings.
