Job Purpose | The Digital Communications Developer advances the College’s digital presence by designing, developing, integrating, and maintaining enterprise web services, websites, and related applications that support the marketing, academic, and administrative missions of the College. This position assesses the web and digital communication needs of students, faculty, staff, prospective students, and the public, translating those needs into secure, accessible, and user-centered technical solutions. The role develops and maintains web applications, system integrations, APIs, and automated processes; provides technical support for web-related services through the IT service management (ITSM) process; administers Linux-based web hosting environments; and ensures the reliability, security, and availability of critical web infrastructure, including WordPress, LAMP applications, and enterprise web services.
Minimum Requirements | A high school diploma and work experience in the development, integration, modification and maintenance of system programs or the design and development of system software. Familiarity with integration through published APIs and web services (e.g. SOAP, REST, JSON specifications). An associate or bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred and may be substituted for required work experience. Candidates with an equivalent combination of experience and/or education are encouraged to apply.
