Merola Tile Distributors of America is seeking a Digital Commerce Manager to lead online operations and optimize performance across retail and marketplace partners. You will align digital processes with business goals, drive product visibility, and improve the digital shelf through data-driven strategies.

The role requires a senior level with deep experience in digital commerce, team leadership, and cross-functional collaboration across Sales, Product, Marketing, and IT.

Job Summary

We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Digital Commerce Manager who is responsible for leading and optimizing the Digital Commerce function across retail and marketplace partners. This role develops and improves the processes, workflows, performance measures, and team capabilities needed to increase digital commerce performance, improve product discoverability and digital shelf execution, and ensure consistent execution across digital partners.

The manager works cross-functionally to align digital commerce processes and resources with business objectives while developing the team and driving accountability for measurable results.

Duties
  • Lead and optimize Digital Commerce operations to achieve department goals related to online transactions, discoverability, digital shelf quality, retailer execution, and performance.
  • Design, refine, and standardize Digital Commerce processes, workflows, operating practices, and performance measures to improve efficiency, consistency, scalability, and accountability.
  • Manage and develop Digital Commerce team members by establishing clear expectations, delegating responsibilities, evaluating performance, coaching employees, and strengthening team capability.
  • Develop and implement functional plans and priorities to increase online sample and product transactions across digital partners.
  • Optimize product discoverability and organic search visibility across retailer websites, Google, and emerging AI-assisted search.
  • Manage and improve digital shelf and retailer portal processes, including product content, assets, product launches, listing quality, and retailer requirements.
  • Evaluate performance metrics and trends through KPIs and dashboards and use data-driven insights to identify risks, opportunities, and process improvements.
  • Manage retail media programs, approved budgets, vendors, and performance to ensure effective use of resources and measurable results.
  • Manage and improve customer review, Q&A, FAQ, and feedback processes and translate recurring customer insights into actionable recommendations.
  • Analyze competitor activity, retailer capabilities, search positioning, pricing presentation, and digital commerce trends to identify opportunities and inform departmental priorities.
  • Plan and allocate departmental work and resources based on priorities, workload, capability, and business needs; remove barriers and elevate matters outside the role's authority.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Product, Marketing, Finance, IT, Operations, and Customer Service to align Digital Commerce processes and execution with broader business objectives.
  • Manage change initiatives within the function by communicating expectations, engaging employees, monitoring implementation, and evaluating results.
  • Present performance results, insights, risks, opportunities, and recommended priorities to senior leadership.
Other Duties
  • Contribute to departmental policies, procedures, and continuous‑improvement plans.
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, training, cross‑training, and development activities to strengthen team capability and coverage.
  • Represent Digital Commerce on cross‑functional initiatives, committees, and workgroups as needed.
  • Stay current on digital commerce trends, retailer capabilities, technology, and industry best practices.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Digital Commerce, Ecommerce, Information Systems, Supply Chain, Communications, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of progressively responsible experience in digital commerce, ecommerce, marketplace management, digital merchandising, omnichannel commerce, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience managing and developing employees and leading cross-functional initiatives.
  • Experience designing, improving, and standardizing digital commerce processes, workflows, systems, and measurement practices.
  • Experience working across retailer and marketplace portals, digital shelf execution, search and discoverability, digital content, reviews and Q&As, and retail media.
  • Experience defining and evaluating KPIs and dashboards and using performance data to identify trends and drive process improvements.
  • Experience managing budgets, vendors, programs, and departmental resources within established authority.
  • Ability to analyze operational and competitive information and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage change, improve processes, and establish consistent and scalable operating practices.
  • Strong written, verbal, presentation, collaboration, and people‑leadership skills.
Physical Demands

Regularly stand/sit for extended periods, operate office equipment, perform light to moderate lifting, lift/move up to 15 lbs. occasionally, bend, twist, and maintain proper posture. Work is performed primarily in warehouse and manufacturing environments with exposure to varying temperatures, dust, noise, odors, chemicals, and powered industrial equipment. Appropriate PPE is required based on work activities.
