Job summary

PetSmart in the Phoenix Home Office is seeking a Digital Category Analyst to analyze sales, traffic, and digital engagement data and deliver actionable recommendations for assigned categories.

You will partner with Site Merchandising, develop funnel forecasts, and contribute to KPI reporting while collaborating with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, data-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Merchandising, Marketing, Finance, Engineering or equivalent work experience.
• 2 years of experience in Digital.
• 2 years of experience utilizing online analytics to optimize sales and customer experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs analysis on sales, traffic, and funnel trends.
• Partners with Site Merchandising to identify digital opportunities for assigned categories.
• Makes recommendations for actions based on analysis conducted.
• Analyzes digital KPIs to identify performance trends and opportunities.
• Builds daily and weekly funnel forecasts and measures performance vs. forecast.
• Participates as a key member of the digital cross-functional team and shares data with partners.
• Enhances digital KPI reporting to summarize sales and site performance.
• Provides subject matter expertise on key digital initiatives and testing for assigned categories.

About the Team

The Digital team focuses on delivering a superior customer experience on petsmart.com and our mobile app. The team also guides revenue and profit growth for the digital business. Digital team associates focus on delivering initiatives that help our pet parents find and discover products, bring enterprise priorities to life digitally, design new user experiences, build new features and capabilities, and manage key omni-channel programs. We work to showcase our brand digitally through the lens of expertise and love and to provide a personalized experience for our consumers. The team takes a data-driven approach and leverages quantitative and qualitative insights to optimize the experience and make business decisions.

About the Location

Collaborative Work Environment: At PetSmart, teamwork and connection are core to how we thrive. This role is based at our Phoenix Home Office, with an expectation of working a minimum of four days in the office each week. In a standard work week, associates may work up to one remote "flex day" (with leader approval). Our hybrid approach is designed to foster strong collaboration while also supporting flexibility and individual success.

Digital Category Analyst is responsible for conducting analysis using eCommerce sales, digital customer engagement data, market share, etc. and producing actionable recommendations based on analysis

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to:

• Performs analysis on sales, traffic, and conversion frunnel trends. Make linkages across KPIs to provide holistic analysis for assigned categories
• Partners closely with Site Merchandising to conduct analysis to answer key business questions and identify digital experience opportunities for assigned categories
• Makes recommendations for actions based on analysis conducted
• Analyzes digital KPIs to identify performance trends and opportunities, execute strategies to drive sales and improve customer engagement
• Helps build daily and weekly funnel forecasts based on trends and promotional initiatives, and measure performance vs. forecast
• Participate as a key member of the digital cross functional team for assigned categories, socialize data with cross functional partners and make recommendations
• Build upon and enhance digital KPI reporting to summarize sales and site performance
• Provide subject matter expertise onkey digitalinitiatives, programs, and testing for assigned categories

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

• Bachelors degree in Business, Merchandising, Marketing, Finance, Engineering or equivalent work experience
• 2 years of experience in Digital
• 2 years of experience utilizing online analytics to optimize sales and customer experience

TECHNICAL SKILLS

• Familiarity with enterprise data warehouses and digital data sources (e.g., Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics)
• Strong Excel skills, and familiarity with data visualization tools (Power BI/Tableau)
