Job summary

Charles Schwab Premier Bank seeks a dynamic Business Unit Risk leader for its Digital Assets team, focusing on spot crypto trading. The role spans risk monitoring, governance, policy development, and cross-unit oversight in a fast-paced crypto-enabled offering.

Responsibilities include risk escalation management, reporting to program committees, and building controls in a decentralized environment while ensuring regulatory alignment and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience as a risk management practitioner, with increasing responsibility in digital assets and/or regulated banking.
• Experience in enterprise risk or operations programs.
• Ability to communicate with business and executive audiences both oral and written.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director to deploy and operate the digital assets risk management program and roadmap.
• Coordinate with risk teams and stakeholders to identify, assess, respond, measure and report key risks.
• Define requirements for risk controls in Schwab's crypto and digital assets space and identify gaps.
• Analyze, triage and support risk escalations and make recommendations for investigation.
• Contribute to root cause analysis and remediation of risk themes.
