Job summary

The Digital Accessibility Coordinator exists within the State of Minnesota's Direct Care and Treatment (DCT) agency to lead the enterprise-wide digital accessibility program. You will ensure compliance with federal and state accessibility laws governing ICT, including WCAG and Section 508, and develop a strategic plan with measurable goals.

You will coordinate testing across platforms, promote accessibility training for staff, and work with the ADA Coordinator on accommodation intersections.

Qualifications

Three (3) years of experience in digital accessibility or a related field.
Experience applying WCAG, Section 508, or similar accessibility standards.
Advising management and/or other professionals regarding digital accessibility compliance.

Responsibilities

Assure compliance with DCT and MNIT policies, Federal laws, and state legislation related to digital accessibility.
Develop and maintain a Digital Accessibility Strategic Plan with long-term goals and implementation strategies.
Oversee accessibility testing and evaluation of digital platforms, websites, applications, and documents using automated tools and manual methods.
Promote the digital accessibility program by presenting training to educate DCT employees.
Collaborate with the ADA Coordinator on intersections of reasonable accommodation and digital accessibility.
