Job Summary

The Digital Accessibility Analyst uses manual testing, automated tools, audit reports, and assistive technology to evaluate, document, and track the accessibility of campus technologies, digital assets, websites, templates, and themes. Prioritizes and addresses accessibility concerns and recommends improvements in internally developed digital resources and applications. Supports the acquisition and adoption of accessible technology. Provides campus stakeholders with accessibility guidance.

Additional Department Summary

Applies and uses technical and practical knowledge and analytical skills to evaluate, document, and improve the digital accessibility status of institutional resources. Performs data collection, synthesis, analysis, and reporting. Develops recommendations to support digital accessibility evaluation, documentation, and remediation efforts.

Required Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or higher and some digital accessibility experience.

Skills and Knowledge

Demonstrated knowledge of current digital accessibility laws and standards, specifically WCAG 2.1 or greater guidelines. Knowledge of developing and maintaining accessible websites, applications, and or mobile applications, including coding. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Professional experience in higher education. Professional experience in digital accessibility testing, evaluation, and reporting. Experience collaborating on digital accessibility-related projects or tasks. Experience managing projects. Professional certification in digital accessibility. Bachelor's degree or higher in web development, technology accessibility, or related field and two (2) years of professional experience. Experience with industry-leading assistive technologies such as JAWS, NVDA, ZoomText, Dragon Naturally Speaking, and adaptive strategies like keyboard navigation.
