Job summary

Orlando Health Digestive Health Institute in Downtown Orlando seeks a Certified Medical Assistant to support scheduling, preregistration, and coordination of patient care. The ideal candidate will have a High school diploma with MA training, current BLS, and relevant clinical experience.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent required.
• Successful completion of Medical Assistant training from an approved technical school (or at least one year of verifiable work experience) required.
• Maintains current BLS certification and MA/medical assistant credentials from a recognized body.

Responsibilities

• Oversees scheduling and preregistration duties including demographic validation, insurance verification, prior authorizations, referrals, and follow-up care.
• Provides support to physicians and operational leadership by coordinating provider assignments for optimal coverage.
• Delivers routine treatments and administers approved medications as ordered.
• Documents patient data, treatments, and education per policies.
