Job summary

onsemi seeks a Diffusion Module Engineer to join our Hopewell Junction, NY manufacturing team, providing high‑level engineering support during evening production hours. You will work with Operations, Process Engineering, Equipment Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality to quickly identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues affecting production performance.

The role emphasizes device yield, process stability, defect reduction, and continuous operational excellence while offering collaboration

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, physics, or related field.
• 3+ years in semiconductor manufacturing.
• Experience supporting metrology and manufacturing teams.
• Experience with SPC and data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Own evening engineering support for thin film tools and processes.
• Mentor technicians and junior engineers in troubleshooting methodologies.
• Provide rapid technical response to process excursions, tool alarms, quality events, and production-impacting issues.
• Partner with manufacturing supervisors and technicians to maintain stable production operations.
• Develop and maintain process control strategies, monitoring plans, and escalation procedures.
• Create and maintain engineering documentation, procedures, specifications, and training materials.
