Job summary

Samsung Austin Semiconductor is seeking a Diffusion Equipment Technician to join a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing team.

You will follow SOPs, perform preventive maintenance on fab equipment, and work with engineers in a cleanroom environment, applying structured problem solving to drive safe, cost-effective improvements.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of related experience in diffusion equipment or semiconductor manufacturing.
• Ability to follow SOPs/OCAPs and maintain safety as a priority.
• Experience with mechanical PM and cleanroom protocols.

Responsibilities

• Perform 6S in the office and fab.
• Follow SOPs, PTPs, and OCAPs to operate safely and cost-effectively.
• Perform preventative maintenance including mechanical assembly/disassembly on fab equipment.
• Use structured problem solving to identify impactful solutions.
• Communicate effectively with engineers, leaders, and teammates.
• Work on the cleanroom floor in a full cleanroom smock with a team.

Position Summary

In your role as a Diffusion Equipment Technician, you'll work alongside a talented group of technicians and engineers in a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing environment producing some of the most advanced semiconductor devices on the planet.

Role and Responsibilities

Here’s What You’ll Be Responsible For:

• Practice 6S in the office and fab, holding safety as the number 1 priority.
• Follow SOPs, PTPs, and Out of Control Action Plans (OCAPs) to work efficiently, safely, and cost-effectively
• Perform Preventative Maintenance (PM) including mechanical assembly/disassembly on fab equipment
• Use structured problem solving to help find impactful solutions to complex problems
• Affectively communicate with engineers, leaders, and teammates
• Work in a team environment on the cleanroom floor in a full cleanroom smock

Skills and Qualifications

• Has substantial understanding on the job and applies knowledge and skills to complete a wide range of tasks
• Works on assignments that are moderately difficult, requiring judgment in resolving issues or in making recommendations
• Normally receives little instruction on everyday work and general instructions on newly introduced assignments
• Typically requires a minimum 3 years of related experience since TB1
