Job summary

Micron Technology, Inc. is seeking a Shift Equipment Engineer for the Diffusion area. You will monitor, sustain, and improve tool performance, partnering with process teams, and performing preventative maintenance within a fabrication facility.

The role requires working 12‑hour shifts (3 days on/4 days off) with day/night rotation every four months. Strong electrical/mechanical skills and cleanroom experience are essential for success in this hands‑on position.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts (3 on/4 off) with day/night rotation.
• Knowledge of AC/DC circuits, electricity fundamentals, and basic electronics.
• Experience with electrical, vacuum, gas flow, and mechanical systems; read schematics.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, sustain, and improve equipment performance in diffusion area.
• Identify and handle chemicals and hazards safely.
• Respond to safety alarms and maintain area benchmarks to reduce downtime.
• Drive TPM culture, MTAGs, and area health reports to boost fab performance.
• Collaborate with Equipment Owners and Shift Techs to resolve yield/defect issues.
