Job summary

Encompass Health is seeking a dedicated dietitian to join our team, promoting health and wellness through personalized nutrition plans. You will assess patients, develop and implement dietary strategies, and educate on healthy eating while guiding post-discharge diets and monitoring nutritional status in a rehabilitation setting.

You will collaborate with physicians and care teams, document in the medical record, and participate in ongoing education to support patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Registered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
• State licensure required.
• Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics membership preferred.
• Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Food & Nutrition.
• One year of clinical dietetics experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Counsel patients per physician orders and diet instructions.
• Collaborate with physicians and other care disciplines.
• Evaluate referral orders for nutrition intake adequacy.
• Document nutrition-related information in the patient’s medical record.
• Implement nutrition care plans and adapt menus.
• Conduct calorie counts and provide recommendations.
• Review and approve menus for nutritional adequacy.
