Job summary

Encompass Health is seeking a dedicated dietitian to assess nutritional needs, develop personalized plans, and educate patients on healthy eating and post-discharge diets. You will work closely with physicians and the care team to monitor nutrition status and adapt plans as needed.

The role emphasizes counseling, documentation, and implementing care plans, with opportunities to participate in ongoing education and professional development within a nationally recognized rehabilitation leader.

Qualifications

• Education and credentials as required for practice by state licensure.
• Registered by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics is preferred.
• One year of Clinical Dietetics experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Counsel patients per physician orders and diet instruction.
• Communicate with physicians and other care team members.
• Evaluate referral orders for adequacy of nutrition care.
• Document pertinent information in the medical record.
• Implement nutritional care plans and assist with dietary needs.
• Conduct calorie counts and provide recommendations.
• Review and sign menus for nutritional adequacy.
