Job summary

Encompass Health seeks a dedicated dietitian to promote health through personalized nutrition plans. You will assess nutritional needs, develop and implement dietary plans, and educate patients on healthy eating and post-discharge diets.

Qualifications

• Registered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).
• State licensure required.
• Membership in the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics preferred.
• Bachelor's or advanced degree from an accredited program in Food & Nutrition.
• One year of Clinical Dietetics experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Counsel patients per physician orders and diet instructions.
• Collaborate with physicians and other care team members.
• Evaluate referral orders for adequacy of nutrition intake methods.
• Document pertinent information in the patient’s medical record.
• Implement nutrition care plans and adapt menus for dietary needs.
• Conduct calorie counts and make recommendations.
• Review and sign menus for nutritional adequacy.
