Encompass Health is seeking a dedicated Dietitian to promote health and wellness through personalized nutrition plans. You will assess patients’ nutritional needs, develop and implement dietary plans, educate on healthy eating, and monitor nutrition status.

The role focuses on post-discharge diets and patient education within a community hospital setting. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to counsel patients, document care in medical records, and adjust menus to meet individual dietary

Qualifications

• Registered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).
• State licensure is required.
• Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics membership preferred.
• Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Food & Nutrition.
• One year of clinical dietetics experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Counsel patients per physician orders and diet instructions.
• Collaborate with physicians and other care disciplines in patient care.
• Evaluate referral orders to determine adequacy of nutrition intake methods.
• Document information in the patient’s medical record per standards.
• Implement nutritional care plans and adapt menus to dietary needs.
• Conduct calorie counts and provide recommendations.
• Review, revise, and approve menus for nutritional adequacy.
