Qualifications

• Licensed by the State Dietetics Licensing Board where applicable.
• Ability to present information in one-on-one and group formats.
• Experience with special diets and food allergies.
• ServSafe Manager Certification a plus.
• Proficiency with Microsoft applications and nutrient analysis programs.

Responsibilities

• Provide nutrition education and training for the campus community.
• Implement Chartwells Higher Education wellness programming.
• Coordinate with dining management and culinary teams to meet dietary needs.
• Provide nutrition-related training including allergen training.
• Assist with menu development and nutrient analysis.
• Collaborate with marketing on nutrition communication.
• Lead Dining Services sustainability efforts with campus stakeholders.
• Perform hands-on operations in dining spaces serving guests and training staff.
• Partner with campus offices to align with university goals.

Job Summary

We are seeking a Campus Dietitian to join our Team in in Chicago, IL for the University of Chicago.

Responsibilities

• Provides nutrition education & training support for the campus community including tabling, lunch & learn sessions, one‑on‑one counseling, etc.


• Implements Chartwells Higher Education wellness programming


• Coordinates with the dining management team and culinary associates to meet dietary needs for all customers


• Provides nutrition related training including food allergen training to all associates


• Assists the management team with menu development and nutrient analysis


• Collaborates with marketing to ensure appropriate nutrition communication & messaging


• Leads Dining Services Sustainability efforts – partnering with operations and campus stakeholders to track, improve, and communicate sustainability efforts in all dining spaces


• Operational execution and oversight – hands‑on work in dining spaces to serve guests, train associates, audit systems, collaborate with unit leadership, and ensure excellence in operations and culinary services


• Partner with various campus offices, departments, and organizations to ensure alignment with university goals and needs

Qualifications

• Credentialed as a Registered Dietitian by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) or RD Eligible


• Licensed by the State Dietetics Licensing Board in states where applicable


• Ability to present information in one‑on‑one as well group format


• Experience working with special diets and food allergies


• ServSafe® Manager Certification a plus


• Possess the necessary skills to effectively utilize Microsoft applications and nutrient analysis programs
