Responsibilities

• Provides nutrition education & training support for the campus community including tabling, lunch & learn sessions, one-on-one counseling.
• Implements Chartwells Higher Education wellness programming.
• Coordinates with dining management and culinary teams to meet dietary needs.
• Leads nutrition communication and ensures accurate messaging.
• Oversees sustainability efforts in dining spaces and collaborates with operations.
• Performs hands-on dining room operations, staff training, audits, and ensures culinary service excellence.
• Collaborates with campus offices/departments to align with university goals.

Job Summary

We are seeking a Campus Dietitian (Full Time) to join our Nutrition Team at the University of Houston.

Responsibilities

• Provides nutrition education & training support for the campus community including tabling, lunch & learn sessions, one-on-one counseling, etc.
• Implements Chartwells Higher Education wellness programming
• Coordinates with the dining management team and culinary associates to meet dietary needs for all customers
• Provides nutrition related training including food allergen training to all associates
• Assists the management team with menu development and nutrient analysis
• Collaborates with marketing to ensure appropriate nutrition communication & messaging
• Leads Dining Services Sustainability efforts – partnering with operations and campus stakeholders to track, improve, and communicate sustainability efforts in all dining spaces
• Operational execution and oversight – hands‑on work in dining spaces to serve guests, train associates, audit systems, collaborate with unit leadership, and ensure excellence in operations and culinary services
• Partner with various campus offices, departments, and organizations to ensure alignment with university goals and needs

Qualifications

• Credentialed as a Registered Dietitian by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) or RD Eligible
• Licensed by the State Dietetics Licensing Board in states where applicable
• Ability to present information in one-on-one as well group format
• Experience working with special diets and food allergies
• ServSafe® Manager Certification a plus
• Possess the necessary skills to effectively utilize Microsoft applications and nutrient analysis programs
