Description:Registered Dietitian needed.The role involves providing clinical inpatient and outpatient medical nutrition therapy.This includes nutrition education, assessment, and treatment to patients of all ages, from neonatal to geriatric.Deliver Diabetes Self-Management Education to patients with diabetes, prediabetes, or diabetes-related diseases.Interpret data to formulate a comprehensive nutrition assessment and consultation.Determine treatment requirements, precautions, and required education, and modify plans as necessary.Educate patients on therapy or treatment to alleviate fear and anxiety.Ensure that routine and priority tasks are completed within established time frames.Perform general clerical tasks, such as answering phones and updating patient appointments.Retrieve, enter, and revise patient electronic health records.Prepare accurate documentation related to patient care, including all therapy performed.Maintain a clean, neat, and safe working environment.Clean and disinfect equipment after each use.Maintain strict confidentiality of all patient protected health information.Protect all patient information from accidental or inappropriate disclosure.Perform care in compliance with departmental standards and regulatory agencies.Retain certification and complete mandated continuing education requirements.Possess knowledge of nutritional principles and procedures used in treating various medical conditions.Demonstrate a basic understanding of human anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.Exhibit strong written and verbal communication skills to explain sensitive information to diverse audiences.Manage time effectively and possess strong organizational skills.Prioritize assignments and work within standardized procedures to meet deadlines.Work independently and as part of a team, accomplishing multiple tasks in an interrupted environment.Identify, evaluate, and resolve standard problems by selecting appropriate solutions.Build collaborative relationships with peers and other healthcare providers.Treat patients ranging in age from neonate to geriatric.
