Job Summary And Qualifications

We are currently seeking a Clinical Dietitian to join our team. As a Clinical Dietitian, you will coordinate all phases of nutrition care including assessment, planning, monitoring, education, and counseling for hospitalized patients and outpatients in a variety of settings. You will also support performance improvement plans and regulatory requirements. The role requires dedication to patient care.

What you will do in this role

• Demonstrate responsibility and accountability in planning and organizing the nutritional care of patients.
• Assess patient nutritional needs, diet restrictions, and develop and implement dietary care plans, providing nutritional counseling.
• Develop measurable short- and long-term nutritional goals and evaluate outcomes.
• Ensure accurate calculation of nutritional needs based upon individual therapeutic requirements.
• Maintain timely, accurate documentation in medical records in accordance with PCD guidelines.
• Monitor and inspect meal service for conformance to prescribed diets and standards of palatability and appearance.
• Participate in rounding and proactively respond to patient needs to improve outcomes and overall patient experience.
• Contribute to a culture of patient-centered care by ensuring a quiet healing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Food and Nutrition, Dietetics, Nutritional Sciences, Human Nutrition, or a comparable major.

• Minimum of 1 year experience as a Registered Dietitian in an acute care environment OR successful completion of a coordinated program or dietetic internship of at least 900 hours under the supervision of a Registered Dietitian.

• Licensed Dietitian/Nutritionist (LDN) by the Florida Board of Dietetics and Nutrition; Registered Dietitian (RD) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration. Candidates eligible for registration may be hired with the understanding that registration will be achieved within 90 days of hire.
