HCA Healthcare's Medical City Lewisville seeks a Dietitian PRN to coordinate patient nutritional care under the supervision of the Director of Food and Nutrition Services. You will perform nutritional screenings, educate patients on therapeutic diets, and guide staff on diet adherence while documenting patient responses.

The role requires Commission Dietetic Registration, a Bachelor's Degree, and licensure within 90 days of employment.

Qualifications

• Registered Dietitian with licensure; must maintain eligibility for licensure.
• Bachelor's Degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or a related field.
• Professional registration (CDR) and state licensure within 90 days of start date.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient nutritional care under supervision of the Director of Food and Nutrition Services.
• Provide nutritional screenings and assessments for patients.
• Educate patients on therapeutic diets and dietary restrictions.
• Inform staff on permitted/disallowed patient foods per prescribed diet.
• Document patient tolerance, response to nutrition support, and make recommendations.

Job Summary and Qualifications

Our Clinical Dietitians are responsible for coordinating patient nutritional care under the general supervision of the Director of Food and Nutrition Services. What you will do in this role:

• You will be a member of Nutrition Support Team with the pharmacist and physician(s).
• You will provide nutritional screenings and assessments of patients.
• You will educate the patient on therapeutic diets.
• You will inform Aide staff in deciding which patient foods are allowed and disallowed based on the prescribed diet.
• You will document the patient’s tolerance,appropriateness, response to nutritional support and make recommendations.

What qualifications you will need:

• Commission Dietetic Registration
• Licensed Dietician must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
• Bachelors Degree
