HCA Healthcare's Medical City Lewisville is seeking an PRN Occupational Therapist to help patients regain independence and confidence after illness or injury. You will work with physicians and the care team to tailor evidence-based therapy to each patient's goals.

You’ll evaluate needs, develop plans, deliver interventions, monitor progress, and document outcomes. The role emphasizes compassionate care, collaboration, and ongoing professional growth within a supportive network.

Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree in Occupational Therapy.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of start date.
• OT licensure/registration

Responsibilities

• Evaluate each patient’s functional abilities and needs with physicians and the care team.
• Deliver skilled, evidence-based interventions to promote healing and independence.
• Monitor progress, adjust plans, and ensure timely documentation.
• Educate patients and families to build understanding and engagement.

Your role will include:

• Monitoring patient progress, adjusting plans as needed, and ensuring thorough, timely documentation that reflects quality outcomes.

• Educating patients and families to build understanding, confidence, and engagement throughout recovery and beyond.

• Collaborating with interdisciplinary partners to ensure seamless transitions of care, safe environments, and exceptional patient experiences.

• Leading by example- providing guidance to therapy assistants or students and upholding HCA Healthcare's mission, values, and commitment to excellence.

What qualifications you will need:

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
