Job summary

Medical City Dallas is seeking a Clinical Dietitian to coordinate patient nutritional care under the supervision of the Director of Food and Nutrition Services. The role emphasizes service, safety and professionalism in delivering excellent patient care.

You will join the Nutrition Support Team with pharmacists and physicians, perform nutritional screenings and educate patients on therapeutic diets, and document tolerance and response to nutrition support. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Must hold registered dietitian credentials and licensure within 90 days of start date.
• Bachelor's degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or related field required.
• Experience in clinical nutrition and patient education is preferred.

Job Summary And Qualifications

Our Clinical Dietitians are responsible for coordinating patient nutritional care under the general supervision of the Director of Food and Nutrition Services. The commitment to service, safety and professionalism is critical to achieving the best experience for our patients. What you will do in this role:

• You will be a member of Nutrition Support Team with the pharmacist and physician(s).
• You will provide nutritional screenings and assessments of patients.
• You will educate the patient on therapeutic diets.
• You will inform Aide staff in deciding which patient foods are allowed and disallowed based on the prescribed diet.
• You will document the patient’s tolerance, appropriateness, response to nutritional support and make recommendations.

What qualifications you will need:

• Commission Dietetic Registration
• Licensed Dietician must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
• Bachelors Degree
