Job summary

Texas Health Plano in Plano, TX seeks a Dietitian I – Clinical Nutrition (PRN/Days) to deliver Medical Nutrition Therapy across NICU, ICU and other units. This team emphasizes collaboration, flexible scheduling, and high-quality patient care within a supportive environment.

Requires a Bachelor's in Dietetics or related field with RD and LD credentials; healthcare experience and nutrition support experience are preferred.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Dietetics, Food and Nutrition or related area required.
  • RD and LD credentials with 6 months to obtain required.
  • 1 year healthcare experience preferred.
  • Nutrition support experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Utilizes each step of the Nutrition Care Process effectively and efficiently to provide Medical Nutrition Therapy to assigned patient populations.
  • Promotes teamwork and supports organizational goals by demonstrating flexibility in scheduling and shift assignments.
  • Effectively collaborates with peers so that essential shifts are covered.
  • Promotes safe and effective care through effective communication and workflow practices, including THR/HRO strategies.
  • Promotes Quality in Practice through systematic measurement of outcomes and continuous improvement.
  • Maintains competence through ongoing self-evaluation and study aimed at closing knowledge gaps.

PRN "As Needed", 24 - 40 hours per week

Clinical Nutrition Department Highlights

  • Promotes safe and effective care through effective communication and workflow practices, including the use of THR specific and High Reliability Organization (HRO) communication and safety strategies.
  • Promotes Quality in Practice through systematic measurement of outcomes, regular performance evaluations, and continuous improvement.
  • Maintains competence through ongoing self-evaluation and study aimed at identifying and closing relevant professional knowledge and/or performance gaps.
