Job summary

Texas Health Plano is seeking a Dietitian I – Clinical Nutrition to join our full-time day shift team at 6200 West Parker Road, Plano, TX 75093-7914. You will deliver Medical Nutrition Therapy across patient populations, utilize the Nutrition Care Process, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support high-quality patient outcomes.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Dietetics or related field, RD and LD licensure within 6 months, and opportunities for growth within a magnet-designated

• Bachelor's Degree in Dietetics, Food and Nutrition or related area Req.
• 1 Year health care experience Pref.
• RD and LD licensure required after 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the Nutrition Care Process to provide Medical Nutrition Therapy to assigned patients.
• Promotes teamwork and flexibly schedules to balance case load and deadlines.
• Collaborates with peers to ensure essential shifts are covered.
• Supports safe, effective care through clear communication and THR/HRO practices.
• Aims for quality in practice via outcome measurement and continuous improvement.
• Maintains competence through ongoing self-evaluation and study.

Here’s What You Need

• Utilizes each step of the Nutrition Care Process effectively and efficiently to provide Medical Nutrition Therapy to assigned patient populations.
• Promotes teamwork and supports organizational goals by demonstrating flexibility in scheduling and shift assignments. When indicated, willingly takes on work to even out case load or meet schedule deadlines.
• Effectively collaborates with peers so that essential shifts are covered.
• Promotes safe and effective care through effective communication and workflow practices, including the use of THR specific and High Reliability Organization (HRO) communication and safety strategies.
• Promotes Quality in Practice through systematic measurement of outcomes, regular performance evaluations, and continuous improvement.
• Maintains competence through ongoing self-evaluation and study aimed at identifying and closing relevant professional knowledge and/or performance gaps.
