Texas Health Plano is seeking a Dietitian I – Clinical Nutrition (Full-Time / Days) to join our nutrition team in Plano, TX. The role focuses on Medical Nutrition Therapy across patient populations, with an emphasis on teamwork and high reliability practices to ensure top patient care.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's in Dietetics or related field, plus RD/LD credentials with 6 months required for each, and nutrition support experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Dietetics, Food and Nutrition or related area required.
• 1 year healthcare experience preferred.
• RD - Registered Dietitian, 6 months required.
• LD - Licensed Dietitian, 6 months required.
• Nutrition support experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the Nutrition Care Process to provide Medical Nutrition Therapy for assigned patient populations.
• Promotes teamwork and flexibility in scheduling and case load balancing.

Work hours: Full-Time, Days, 40 hours per week

Clinical Nutrition Department Highlights:

Our clinical dietitian team is trained to cover all patient populations from NICU, ICU, and all other units outside of critical care areas. The team is very supportive of each other and very collaborative. We prioritize our daily workload as a team to meet the needs of the most critical patients to provide the best outcomes and care.

Here’s What You Need

• Bachelor's Degree in Dietetics, Food and Nutrition or related area Req
• 1 Year health care experience Pref
• RD - Registered Dietitian 6 Months Req And
• LD - Licensed Dietitian 6 Months Req
• Nutrition support experience preferred

What You Will Do

• Utilizes each step of the Nutrition Care Process effectively and efficiently to provide Medical Nutrition Therapy to assigned patient populations.
• Promotes teamwork and supports organizational goals by demonstrating flexibility in scheduling and shift assignments. When indicated, willingly takes on work to even out case load or meet schedule deadlines.
• Effectively collaborates with peers so that essential shifts are covered.
• Promotes safe and effective care through effective communication and workflow practices, including the use of THR specific and High Reliability Organization (HRO) communication and safety strategies.
• Promotes Quality in Practice through systematic measurement of outcomes, regular performance evaluations, and continuous improvement.
• Maintains competence through ongoing self-evaluation and study aimed at identifying and closing relevant professional knowledge and/or performance gaps.
