Job Details

Western State Hospital, an acute care adult psychiatric facility in Hopkinsville, KY, is seeking a Dietitian to join our team. This role focuses on providing nutritional care for individuals with mental health conditions, working closely with an interdisciplinary team to support patient well-being. Full-time 30-40 hrs/wk, Monday-Friday, with a flexible work schedule. Onsite presence is required.

Key Responsibilities

• Provides medical nutrition therapy including assessment, diet modification, education, and intervention for patients
• Follows all guidelines in the Company Diet Manual and Nutrition Policies & Procedures
• Ensures compliance with regulatory standards, HIPAA, and patient rights policies
• Trains and mentors staff and interns as applicable
• Participates in patient satisfaction, departmental meetings, and quality improvement programs

Qualifications

• Registered Dietitian credential from the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR)
• State licensure where required
• Preferred: at least 1 year hospital experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, EMR, diet systems, and nutrient analysis software
