Job Details:

Western State Hospital, an acute care adult psychiatric facility in Hopkinsville, KY, is seeking a Dietitian to join our team. This role focuses on providing nutritional care for individuals with mental health conditions and working closely with an interdisciplinary team to support patient well-being. It is a full-time position, 30-40 hrs/wk, Monday-Friday, with a flexible work schedule. Onsite presence is required.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a Clinical Dietitian to join our Nutrition Team at an acute care medical center in Hopkinsville, KY.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Provides medical nutrition therapy including assessment, diet modification, education, and intervention for patients.
2. Follows all guidelines within the Company Diet Manual and Nutrition Policies & Procedures.
3. Ensures compliance with regulatory standards, HIPAA, and patient rights policies.
4. Trains and mentors staff and interns as applicable.
5. Participates in patient satisfaction, departmental meetings, and quality improvement programs.

Qualifications:

1. Registered Dietitian credential from the CDR.
2. State licensure where required.
3. Preferred: One year hospital experience.
4. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, electronic medical records, and nutrient analysis software.
