Job Details:

Western State Hospital, an acute care adult psychiatric facility in Hopkinsville, KY, is seeking a Dietitian to join our team. This role focuses on providing nutritional care for individuals with mental health conditions. The position involves working closely with an interdisciplinary team to support patient well-being. It is full-time, 30-40 hrs/wk, Monday-Friday, with a flexible work schedule. Onsite presence is required.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a Clinical Dietitian (FT) to join our Nutrition Team at an acute care medical center in Hopkinsville, KY.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Provides medical nutrition therapy including assessment, diet modification, education, and intervention for the patient population.
2. Follows all guidelines outlined in the Company Diet Manual and Nutrition Policies & Procedures Manual.
3. Ensures compliance with all regulatory standards, including federal, state, and accreditation agencies, while maintaining patient confidentiality and HIPAA regulations.
4. Trains and mentors patient services staff and interns as applicable.
5. Participates in patient satisfaction programs, departmental meetings, and quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:

1. Registered Dietitian credential from the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).
2. State licensure where required.
3. At least one year of hospital experience preferred.
4. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, electronic medical records, diet office systems, and nutrient analysis software.
