Job Details

Western State Hospital in Hopkinsville, KY, is seeking a Dietitian to provide nutritional care for individuals with mental health conditions. This full-time position (30-40 hrs/wk, Monday-Friday, flexible schedule) requires onsite presence and involves working closely with an interdisciplinary team to support patient well-being.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide medical nutrition therapy, including assessments, diet modifications, education, and interventions.
• Follow all guidelines within the Company Diet Manual and Clinical Nutrition Policies & Procedures Manual.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, HIPAA, and patient rights policies.
• Train and mentor staff and interns as applicable.
• Participate in patient satisfaction, departmental meetings, and quality improvement programs.

Qualifications

• Registered Dietitian credential from the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).
• State licensure where required.
• Preferred: One year of hospital experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, electronic medical records, and nutrient analysis software.
