Job Details: Western State Hospital, an acute care adult psychiatric facility in Hopkinsville, KY, is seeking a Dietitian to join our team. This role focuses on providing nutritional care for individuals with mental health conditions, working closely with an interdisciplinary team to support patient well-being. Full-time 30-40 hrs/wk, Monday-Friday, with a flexible work schedule. Onsite presence is required.

Job Summary

We are seeking a Clinical Dietitian (FT) to join our Nutrition Team in an acute care medical center in Hopkinsville, KY.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provides medical nutrition therapy including assessment, diet modification, education, and intervention for the patient population.
  • Follows all guidelines within the Company Diet Manual and Nutrition Policies & Procedures Manual.
  • Complies with all regulatory standards, including federal, state, and accreditation agencies, while maintaining confidentiality, HIPAA regulations, and patient rights.
  • Trains and mentors patient services staff and interns as applicable.
  • Participates in patient satisfaction programs, departmental meetings, and quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Registered Dietitian credential from the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).
  • Licensed by the State Dietetics Licensing/Credentialing Board, where required.
  • One (1) year of hospital experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, electronic medical records, diet office systems, and nutrient analysis software.
