Responsibilities

• Develop, coordinate and direct all aspects of clinical nutrition care with minimal supervision.
• Assist in managing PIPS' nutritional resources and impact patient nutrition status.
• Make decisions affecting patients' total nutrition care and monitor enteral nutrition.
• Assist pharmacists in managing TPN patients and provide clinical monitoring of enteral patients.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Nutrition or Dietetics

Washington Dietitian Certification (within 6 months of hire)

National CDR Registered Dietitian - Commission on Dietetic Registration

Job description

Schedule: Monday to Friday, Day shift

This position is responsible for developing, coordinating and directing all aspects of quality, cost effective, outcome-oriented clinical nutrition care under minimum supervision. Assists in the management of PIPS' nutritional resources. Responsible for decisions and judgments affecting patients total nutrition care. Facilitates improvement in patient's nutrition status to reduce complications and lower the risk of harm to the patient. Assists the pharmacists in managing the TPN patients. Clinical monitoring of enteral patients.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Nutrition or Dietetics
• Within 6 months (180 days) of hire: Washington Dietitian Certification
• Upon hire: National CDR Registered Dietitian - Commission on Dietetic Registration
• 1 year Hospital or home care experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in enteral/parenteral nutrition.
• Pediatric, adult and geriatric experience.
• Development of nutrition related forms and policies and procedures.
