Job summary
Park Royal Behavioral Health Services is seeking a full time Registered Dietitian to promote health and recovery within our Park Royal Hospital. You will assess nutritional needs, approve menus, counsel patients and families, review dietary plans with physicians, and support the treatment team.
A Bachelor's degree in Dietetics or Nutrition and active RD licensure are required; experience with eating disorders and substance use is strongly preferred.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited University in Dietetics, Nutrition or similar field acceptable for licensure.
- Experience with Eating Disorders and Substance use strongly preferred in facilities working with those patient populations.
- Current registered dietician or registration as required by state or eligible for endorsement by the state in which the facility provides services.
Responsibilities
- Assess nutritional needs, diet restrictions and current health plans to develop and implement dietary-care plans and provide nutritional counseling.
- Approve patient menus and nutritional supplements.
- Advise patients and their families on nutritional principles, dietary plans, diet modifications and food selection and preparation.
