Job summary

Johnson County Park and Recreation District (JCPRD) seeks a Registered Dietitian to provide nutrition assessments and guidance, develop meal plans, and lead nutrition workshops for diverse populations at our community centers. Collaboration with staff will integrate nutrition programming and ensure timely documentation of consultations.

The role requires CPR certification, strong nutrition knowledge, and experience with older adults, with flexibility in assignment locations as needed.

Qualifications

• RD or RDN credential required.
• Current CPR certification required.
• Strong knowledge of nutrition, wellness, and dietary planning.
• Criminal history background check required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience working with older adults and managing multiple participants.

Job Requirements

Minimum Job Requirements:

• Registered Dietitian (RD) or Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) credential required.
• Must have current CPR Certification.
• Strong knowledge of nutrition, wellness, and dietary planning.
• Criminal History Background Check required.
• Employees are responsible for tracking attendance, starting/ending sessions/classes on time and turning in paperwork in a timely manner.
• Must exhibit initiative in the absence of supervision.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience working with older adults, confident managing multiple participants at a time, and the ability to create a fun environment.
