Quality Life Services is looking to add a Dietetic Technician, Registered (DTR) to our team. As the DTR, you will provide dietary and nutritional services to long term care residents in order to assist them with achieving their highest level of function.

Responsibilities
- Develop or recommend a current diet manual to meet the needs of the residents.
- Assess and document the nutritional needs of each resident.
- Review and plan all regular and therapeutic diets and menus.
- Review resident’s dietary profile, assessment plan and plan of care for residents.
- Assess and counsel residents regarding dietary allergies, likes and dislikes, appetites, food habits and therapeutic menus.
- Evaluate and make recommendations regarding the serving time of meals, sanitation and food handling procedures.
- Evaluate and make recommendations regarding food service equipment, nutritional adequacy, method of preparation, taste, appearance, serving temperature and portion size.
- Assist Dietary Departments in adjusting recipes for desired yield, ordering food and dietary supplies and communicating with residents and families.
- Maintain a reference library of written material, current FDA food code manuals, OBRA regulations, diet manuals, etc. necessary for complying with industry standards of practice and OBRA regulations and that will provide assistance in maintaining quality food service.
- Ensure that menus meet the nutritional needs of residents in accordance with the recommended dietary allowances of the Food and Nutrition Board of the National Research Council, National Academy of Sciences.
- Complete admission, readmission and annual assessments in Point Click Care.
- Attend weekly Risk meetings related to wounds and weight loss.
- Monitor alerts related to dietary issues.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Dietetics or related field.
- Current active Registered Dietitian License in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
- Two (2) years of experience.
- Long term care experience preferred.
