Job summary

HealthPartners seeks a Dietetic Technician to support patient meals and nutritional services at Methodist Hospital. The technician ensures accurate meals, nourishments, and tube feedings, processes orders and messages, and assists with diet orders during admission.

This part-time position (FTE 0.2) offers day/evening shifts, every other weekend, with opportunities to work in a collaborative team dedicated to patient care and health equity.

Qualifications

• Assocate degree is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide nutritional needs of patients, ensure correct meals, nourishments, and tube feedings.
• Process phone messages and computer orders; communicate diet orders.
• Assess admissions for preselected menus and adjust patient menus as ordered by physicians.
• Screen patients who need nutritional assistance and support.

Position Summary:

The Dietetic Technician will provide nutritional needs of patients in a timely manner. They will assure correct and accurate meals, nourishments, and tube feedings. Job duties include processing phone messages, computer orders, and communication regarding diet orders. Sees patients upon admission regarding preselect menu. Adjusts patient menu to meet requirements of physician's ordered diet and screen patients who need nutritional assistance and support.

Work Schedule:

FTE 0.2, 8 hours per week, day/evenings, every other weekend.

Preferred Qualifications:

Associate degree.
