Methodist Hospital is seeking a Dietetic Technician to join our team. The role supports patient nutrition, ensuring correct meals, nourishments, and tube feedings while coordinating diet orders with care teams.

This position is a 0.2 FTE, 8 hours per week, daytime/evening shifts, with every other weekend. An Associate degree is preferred for this role.

Qualifications

• Provide nutritional needs of inpatients in a timely manner.
• Adjust patient menu to meet physician-ordered diets.
• Screen patients for nutritional assistance and support.

Responsibilities

• Process phone messages and computer orders for diet-related requests.
• Communicate diet orders and changes to relevant staff.
• See patients at admission to discuss preselected menu options.

Position Summary:The Dietetic Technician will provide nutritional needs of patients in a timely manner. They will assure correct and accurate meals, nourishments, and tube feedings. Job duties include processing phone messages, computer orders, and communication regarding diet orders. Sees patients upon admission regarding preselect menu. Adjusts patient menu to meet requirements of physician's ordered diet and screen patients who need nutritional assistance and support.

Work Schedule: FTE 0.2, 8 hours per week, day/evenings, every other weekend.

Preferred Qualifications:Associate degree.
