Job summary

The Health Technician (Dietetic) position is located in Nutrition and Food Service at the Central Virginia Health Care System in Richmond, Virginia. This role provides essential administrative and customer service support for the VA hospital food service program.

You will handle patient meal service orders, use Dietetics Software, and collaborate with dietitians on diet orders and nutrition plans. Work hours are 10:30 am to 7:00 pm with rotating holidays and weekends.

Qualifications

• Must meet IOR and GS-05 qualifications with specialized experience or education.
• Experience with quantity food service operations and nutrition.
• Proficient with computers, databases, and diet software.

Responsibilities

• Manage patient meal service orders and enter into Dietetics Software.
• Provide professional customer service via phone, email, and in person.
• Collaborate with dietitians on food/drug interactions and diet orders.
• Verify diet orders and assist with meal tray preparation.
