Job summary

Excelcare at Newark is seeking a Dietary Supervisor to oversee daily kitchen operations, supervise dietary staff, and ensure safe, high-quality meals for residents.

You will collaborate with nursing teams, manage menus and dietary accommodations, maintain sanitation, and train new staff. Benefits include health/dental/vision insurance, PTO, 401k with up to 5% matching, a daily pay option, and employee discounts. Weekend availability may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience in food service, preferably in a healthcare setting.
• Knowledge of sanitation regulations and dietary guidelines.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work weekdays and weekends as needed.
• ServSafe certification preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and schedule dietary staff to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Monitor food preparation and service for quality, safety, and compliance.
• Assist in menu planning and special dietary accommodations.
• Conduct daily kitchen inspections and maintain sanitation standards.
• Train new staff and provide ongoing coaching and support.
